CollegeWishingWell.com understands that your privacy is important. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, it is available on the bottom of most of our webpages.  This policy applies solely to information collected at the CollegeWishingWell.com website.

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the CollegeWishingWell.com website. We collect personal information about our registered users and gift donators to be used to identify said registered users and donators, to support merchant services that we provide, and to understand the demographics of our users.  We also ask that our registered users provide financial information for the account which you would like gifts distributed to.  CollegeWishingWell.com does not share this information with other companies or individuals.

We also collect information needed to process credit card transactions.  The information collected is not unusual for such on-line transactions.  The information is used only with regards to the processing and completion of said transactions. We do not share this information with outside parties except to that extent.  The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or giving history.  Merchant processing is managed through Authorize.net, visit their website for their privacy policies.

CollegeWishingwell.com does not employ the use of "spam".  Any e-mail sent by CollegeWishingWell.com will have a specific agenda or be sent by/at the request of a registered user at CollegeWishingWell.com as part of the service we provide.  Registered users may receive no more than four e-mailed newsletters from CollegeWishingWell.com about our services, one per quarter, and one special event notice for each beneficiary, usually prior to the beneficiaries birthday.

Information provided for and input into the address book of one of our registered users is for the use of said user.  CollegeWishingWell.com does not use this information.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, but we do not disclose anything that could be used to identify the identity of those individuals.

CollegeWishingWell.com may offer links to other web sites that CollegeWishingWell.com does not control.  When you click on such links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies, their standards may differ from ours.  CollegeWishingWell.com has no control over how other sites elect to use information.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important.  CollegeWishingWell.com does not actively market to minors.  Services provided by CollegeWishingWell.com are intended for the use of individuals 18 years of age and older.  Minors using CollegeWishingWell.com should have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. 

If our policy on collecting or using information changes, CollegeWishingWell.com will advise you by posting notification in the What is New section of our About Us webpage prior to updating this document.

Registered users can access and edit all their personal information from the sponsor's sign in page (your "my webpage").
